For those who have Windows XP..do you use Windows XP Home Edition or Windows XP Professional?
It would be dumb to use anything Besides Windows 2000 or XP
especially when working with DVDs. Win 98 or Me cannot have files over 4 gigs and win 95 cannot have a file over 2 gigs. You need to use the NTFS filesystem when you are working with DVDs
for the simple fact Fat 16 or Fat 32 cannot handle and was not meant for big files!
Some People use Win Xp but yet installed it with Fat 32, WRONG MOVE when you are burning DVDs, Fat 32 is limited to 4 gigs!
Most DVDs are bigger then that and cannot be burned, or will be burned with errors.
I Found that Win XP Pro is the best for working with DVDs thats just from my experience!
Kewl...So Win XP Pro with NTFS is the way to go...hmmmmI'll have to uninstall win 2000 and see if xp works well with Record Now Max 3.0 or 4.50 and Pioneer A05/105
I use Fat32 on XP Pro with no problems at all after many many dvd backups.
what was your biggest TOC size?Quote:

I had FAT32 on Win Xp Pro before but converted it to NTFS. I think that Win xp Pro and Home are pretty much the same. :D
Record Now Max 4.5 work well in xp and A05 work well also. I say use the hacked firmware for the A05
The max you can put on a dvd, 4.38gb. Done it tons of times too.Quote:
