Odd DVD-R Issue

I burned Soul Calibur 2 to a (good?) Pioneer 4x DVD-R, the one that came with my A05. And it worked great, untill tonight when I tried playing it, it wont load. it'll load to where the PS2 says "Playstation 2" adn then throw me back to the browser screen and it sees the disc as a DVD, and says its a PS2 Disc. If I select it it'll go load the "Playstaion 2" screen again, but the text is distorted. In the end, I cant play that game any more.

Now heres the really odd part: I have 3 other games burnt to white top generic DVD-Rs rated for 1x, and they all load and play great.

Any ideas as to whats up?

Perhaps it does not work cause you burnt at 4x speed.

Some older units don't like 4X burning.

2X seems to be the sweet spot for my v5 PS2. Thanks to Balto for this tip! 1X burns were slow as molasses on my higher quality media. If iyour media will burn at 2X or higher, burn at 2X.

:-/ i have a A05 and have only burned at 1x so far...what a shame! lol, i need some new DVD-Rs
