    Yepp, like dlanor said...

I already spoke a bit about 'booktyping' in my previous replys to you.

    1. You don't know if your DVD-Writer supports booktyping (except if it is a PIONEER, which booktypes to DVD-ROM which is good in most if not all cases...).
    2. Some people swear on DVD+R and booktype them. Probably, because it is physically closer to the original medium, than -Rs are... (look at the inner circle on -R/RW).

Yepp, like I said: Isopropyl shouldn't cause any problems.
Let's hope those discs work better for you.

Regardless of that, it is recommented to not use the PS2's laser at all.
God knows what most of us would do with a PS2 whose laser isn't working anymore... THX to FMCB and OPL, alot PS2s are still alive and actively used for gaming.

Out of curiosity how much would a new laser for my model custom or offical cost? i ask because i searched ebay and all i saw were slim lasers for the s7000 models.

I thought there are only 2 Slim-Lasers available...
PVR and SPU, thought and it shouldn't cost more than 30$, thought...
