no solder mod on a v7 dvd question
Yes dvd-r's work but the swap discs have problems not booting a few games, if you have $300 try to get the Sony dru 500 off like ebay, I seen them there for like $350 and they burn dvd-r and dvd+r both, otherwise I'd say dvd-r but I don't have a V7 and some people have even claimed their V7 won't even play dvd-r without a laser pot adjustment, if you don't get the sony dru 500 maybe you should get a couple of dvd-r games BEFORE your burner to see what works for you
just bought the pioneer 105. the dvd-r's work fine, luckily.
Has anyone have any experience with fujifilm dvd-r's. I just bought a pack, and wondering if it is any good. If not, i'm gonna return them.

I was planning to get a dvd burner to backup a few games, but i have a few questions before i lay 300.00 down. Can the no solder mod with a swap magic dvd 1.1 disc load dvd backups? And what burner do you guys recommend i get, dvd-rw or
dvd+rw? I read on some previous post and a few people said that a v7 likes dvd+r media better. Any help would be great. Oh yea, if the no solder mod doesn't play dvds, then i am out of luck, i suck at soldering(i done broke a psx and a ps2 trying )
as that one was revised to work with Version 7 PlayStations. They plan on comming out with a Versoin 3 that will play PSX games and fix the Harry Potter detection problem and some other new features I forgot.
