i am confused as hell bear with me my friends friend is a total computer geek my friend frank bought a new v 7 ps2,had it for a week now i have a ps2 modded already, but anyways this computer geek some how made 20 games and get this it works on mine no problem but how the hell did he get those games to work on my friend franks machine i was in f??' in awe,i could not believe what the hell i seen,so i tried to rip one of those games and the rip would not play on franks machine.this geek wont tell how he does it. On some news groups there are downloads for no mods and their full version games but no luck i downloaded put on franks machine nothing.does anybody have a damn clue how he did that hes making tons of money doing it thats his business though.

a nomod game is the same as a normally ripped game but its smaller - ripped under 630meg so it can be booted using an ar2\gs2 or similiar method.
i have a mod in my ps2 so i dont have to worry about using those boot tricks, but if you want to know how nomods work, there are ways of tricking the ps2 so it doest know the disc has been swapped.
if you want to know more just search for nomod, but i dont why you want to if your ps2 is modded.

oh ok its not a full game i see, then i wonder why the guy had vertabatum dvd discs for that would be a waste just use a regular cd then ok i was just wondering thanks.the reason i was asking though too how many people jumped on the ship to get their dreamcast chipped and then later found out you dont need a chip i waited i have every game for the dreamcast the point is why cant that be possible for the ps2 i just have to much time on my hands im just thinking thats all. lol

no mods are full games with movies cut out and so forth.
if he was using dvdrs, they would have been full 1:1 dvd copies.
i think there is also a way to boot dvdrs without having a chip by disk swapping.
but i think it is better to just get your ps2 modded with a decent no swap chip like an dms3 or messiah2.
then you can play all backups without the worry of it not working.
    - i used to have a no solder chip and booted back ups with the ar2, which is almost the same as having no chip - works the same way.
