NHL2004 Chop

I have been playing my backedup copy of NHL2004 DVD, but it seems to chop A LOT when there is a lot of commotion goin going on in the game.. like the corners. Does anyone else have this problem? - is this just because the PS2 can't handle the graphics NHL2004 is trying to accomplish? or a botched burn job? - alos does the retail copy of NHL2004 do that? my copy got scratched to death

I have a burnt copy that works just fine

Does yours ever slow down?? or it works flawless everytime?
