nfsu2 problem? wtf

hey , my boy has a v4 with a duo2se installed...it works find, but ive had problem backing up NFSU2... its crazy.... i dont think its a dvd9... it shoudl be dvd5... well first off , i poped it in HDLoader... it comes up as an invalid ps2 disc.... so i said ok lets see if its the DVD its self,... so i restarted the ps2 and his v4 (duo2se) wont even boot the game.... then i said screw it, ill just hdl_dump it to the HD , then i pop the game into my pc and dvd decryper starts reading the game but stops at aorund 18% and come up with an error and it keeps retrying it but never completes the image.... so then i was thinking that its the dvd.... but there is not on scratch on it and it plays perfect in my v7 unmodded ps2..... whats the deal? am i the only one this has happen to?

if its the orginal disc then it might be faulty i guess...works fine on my duo2. hdloader works fine too mode 3. if you explain the problem a bit more maybe i can help..

lets see could be many things. The v4 sounds liek the lasers isn't reading the dvd well. Umm the pc the drive could be gettting a bit weaker.

ok , well with dvd decrpter i tryed again and again and again and i got the image onto my pc, turns out it had one smuge on it lol.... but it still wont burn to a dvd with with dvd decryper or nero... but yet i cant still burn eveyother dvd or cd and ive never had this problem... i had to HDL_dump it to my ps2 HDD , it runs perfect but id liek to get it on DVD.... imma reinstall dvd decrypter and see if i can burn it one more time.... i keep getting a calerbration error even while burning at x2

ok i reintalled it and the same thing , it comes up with the same error in nero also ,
" power calibration error"... what exactly does this error mean? has anyone else come into this problem and is there a work around? im pretty sure its not my dvd burner , ive only has it for about 2 months

ok . i just read up on it , they say it cound be the media , a dirty lens in the bnruner or a fulty one.... well ive tryed 3 differnt types of media and nothing works.... now i have a bunch of crap cup costers lol..... imma try and dust it with a can of air or maybe open it up andclean the lens or maybe try a dvd cleaner cd...... ill let u guys know how it goes

GREAT NEWS! i opened up my dvd burner , cleaned the lens and BAM! lol it works just liek it used to lol no more error! i just wish i would have did this before i wasted almost all my dvdr's lol... hope this helps anyone out that runs into this problem ,blade and loy, thanks for the quick response.... i still dont know why my boys v4 dont read the original tho....i even thru in my same exactl lase rand it wont read it and my laser is brand newww lol well im off to go play this awsome ass game , cat wait till i get my force feed back wheel for this game., it e'lll hold me over till GT4 come oput next year
