Newsgroups suck lately eh?

i know .dvdiso hasn't had anything to hold my attention for a week or so :-/ i wish there was another dvd iso group, with older games on it...would be very cool.

just wanted to start a thread and heres my oppurtuinity

shit atleast you have accest to newsgroups my piece of shit isp offers them but took away all the alt.binaries ones
i could always pay and get them from some where else but its too much money broadband+the newsgroups.

The PS2 newsgroups were never great to begin with.

So if newsgroups sucks, how exactly are people obtaining backups of thier games?

I use newsgroups, they were pretty big for a second, but they ahve slowed down. but then again so has the game industry on a whole.

they tend to release newer games. and since they are like on a hiatus right now with no good games out. we only see releases once a while on the dvdiso group.

for example, this week on that group, only tomb raider, mace griffin bounty hunter, and initial D are new games. the others are reposts, old games etc.

xbox group on the other hand... ... cant wait to mod my green big box.

I've been wanting to share on dvdiso group, can someone give me a tutorial on creating the iso, creating parts and pars (w/ winRAR), and posting?

Would be great to start posting stuff there!

Well part of the deal with the xbox group is that there is so few games that have to post the old stuff. The groups for ps2 are ok. The non dvdiso one is probably the best but tends to have lots of rips. With the groups things cycle. There are hot times where you get like 5 games a day and cool days where you get nothin. Just give it time.

the thing is, lots of people dont post anything on hte newsgroups (speaking for myself here) and just leech away, and dont pay back. If everyone was contributing, you would see a lot more. U see, u send something, request something, some fills that request and requests someting, and it goes roudn and round. if u want newsgroups to be better, then u contribute. (im speaking to myself here)

dallas, just use winrar to rar up the ISO in a multi-part archive (as for pars i dunno yet) and then use a posting program such as yenk power poster and add the files..
