    hey, i just started backing up my dvds to see if they play on my ps2. the problem is i cant seem to do it right. could someone please point me to a tutorial and the programs to use to burn a good copy?

    (edit) also what speed is best, right now im burnning hollow man ripped by dvd shrink 3.2 and burned with nero at 4x speed. i have a tdk +/- 4x burnner with memorex dvd-r 4x media with a purpleish bottom

    Since IT's a DVD-movie...I think it shouldn't be any problem...unless your ps2 is the older version...like 2-3 yrs ago....some of the older ps2 version can't read DVDr....

    ty slowing your speed down to 2x. you be suprised that it may be the burn speed.

    get the program called dvd decrypter and in mode go to file and then insert the dvd and press decrypt let it get compleated and after that you need another prgram called nero recode and load the files onto nero recode and start burning the dvd.

    It's either your machine or your disk. If your machine fails reading DVD media then you have to swap your laser. Otherwise try other media, burn at lower speed. And make sure in Nero you choose DVD Video and paste the files into the VIDEO_TS directory. DVD ROM format won't work (except you have the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS subdirs plus other settings set correctly...) Or as others said use Recode it will generate a true dvd structure, just like CloneDVD, and many other programs.
