nero and drive issues

i installed nero and it won't recognize my cd burner..i tried to autodetect ,but it still doesn't work....oddly enough my discjuggler works....what do you guys think the problem is...and another thing...i just got a v5 magic 2.... i hvaen't installed it yet,but i heard theres a lot of bugs with it not booting cdrs and dvdrs all the time..is this true?..

Hi peeps,

Have you tried the latest nero version? I had the same problem on my sony dru120A burner til I upgraded to the latest software version.

As far as Nero recognizing your burner, it should if it is supported by Nero. Just do like rizinphoenix suggested. I could not tell you much about the V5 Magic chip as I have a V1 system with a Magic 2 chip. Everything works. Still have not tried DVDR's yet. No recorder yet.

Dump Nero and give RecordNow Max a try as it even supports HP and Phillips DVD+R drives. RecordNow Max can also handle ISO and split Global Image files produced by PrimoDVD which Nero can't and yes, even does standard CD-R/RWs....
