IMG files can be recorded using Recordnow max or Alcohol. Or mount that in Daemon Tools and then you can write that directly from the virtual drive.

Why did you open that ? Burn iso's directly using Nero, Recordnow or DVDDecrypter.

Why can't you do a backup ? DVDDecrypter will do the task with 2-3 clicks...

nero will also since you perfer using that, just do an exact copy. have nero copy an image first to hdd and then it will burn the disc for you. as easy as copying an music cd.

Personally I like these questions when so few info is given... What is the problem when doing a backup ? What are the symphtoms, which burner/software do you use ? How do you want to make a copy ? And many more questions that are to be answered and THEN we could give you more help. As many of the people CAN do backups of S.A. or any other game, it is surely NOT impossible. I think there is something wrong either with the way you are trying or with the sw/hw/media you are using.

Someone else had this problem with Nero 6.15.

Why do DAO, Finalize of Disc errors occur? I've made fine backups with DVD Decryp, RecordNow, and Nero, but large games like Ghost in The Shell, GTA SA, Kill Zone, Prince of Persia II, and so forth, all give me errors when it comes to finalizing the disc. It burns fine with a DVD+-RW, but my DMS4 Pro does not seem to read RW's? I've tried multiple programs, media, and speeds, but I still get finalizing errors.

    Can anyone please advise?!

This has been discussed several times, that Nero has a lot of bugs. You should check a newer Nero version, as those errors appiled to older (6.0.x.x-6.1.x.x) versions only. Also, as those disks are almost full of data, you should try other media aswell. Also your drive should be checked in another computer to avoid sw/aspi conflicts. These errors may also occur if the laser is too weak, especially on low quality media (and as it is known the quality of the media is worse on the outer area of the disk) so if the disk is full, your laser is weak and the media is low quality, these errors may happen.
Check your drive in another computer using a fresh Win install.

    regards, Stephen

nero also tells you when you first install it that it may have compatiblity issues with xp. that is the older version of nero though. do as uns97 says and upgrade it. if that doesnt work you have burner troubles. also check your burner firmware.
