need help plz grrrrrr

ok i have a ps2 50001 model and a dms3+ V9 in it.ok first i try nero and recordnow max,they dont work so i get the best cd r media and it still doesnt work so my freind suggest to me alcholl 120% try it and it succsuffly backs up star wars star fighter then i go to back up ssx and it doesnt even boot in my ps2 or it keeps saying reading disc in the browser and doesnt ven read it grrr.now this is really ticking me off i got the mod chip to back up my games and i cant even do that or that wont even play or they freeze,i dont wanna give up but this is bs and it makes me want to.so help would be greatly apricated.Thank You.Note:this is issue is concerning cd based games and i also have that hard drive that came with ff11 installed in my ps2.

take the HD out and try again...

bBut i need my hard drive tho for my ff11and other games well ill try that if its cuz of the hard drive i going to be so pissed,i dont get it the star wars that i copied works fine but the ssx game doesnt grrrrrr.

Ok i took the hard drive out and it works!but now i cant use my hard drive grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr
