My Racing Games Aren't As Fast As They Should Be!! Is This Possible?

some ripped gaames i got off a freind aren't as fast asa they should be. all of my F-1 racing games Tokyo Highway Battle and even GTA 3 are all a slow

When i play Tokyo highway battle the speedometer says i'm going 60-70mph when i hold the botton down, but if i release it and press it again somtimes it will start to go fast like it should. this same scenerio happens with all my racing games

When i play GTA 3 most of the time the cars start out very slow even the taxis do it sometimes. I have played GTA 3 alot so it is not operator error i know how fast the cars should be going

All my games are on cdr's

sounds like your controller/controller flex is damaged.. have you tried a new controller?

it doesn't do that on all games though
i will try i new controller though but the ps2 and controller are brand new

At boot have you set your game speed ?
also you can normaly adjust your graphics.
try these first see if that helps...baz

i've never heard of setting game speed where would i do that.
with my ps2 the system browser comes up for a split second and then the games boots
and where do i adjust graphics?

When you start ya ps2 up make sure there is no disk inside the tray or eject the tray untill the browser screen starts.

Then press green triangle on controller on browser (you will get the revision information ie:- console version,browser,cd player,driver & dvd player....

press green triangle again for options this will give you the driver screen ie:-disk speed & texture mapping these can be changed from standard to disk speed fast and mapping smooth..
