hi guys....i just tested 2 DVD-RWs on my PS2....they seem readable for some reason....

i have just started burning DVDs, so i am kinda excited, cuz i didnt have any luck with CD-RWs....

anyways, what i wanted to ask was:

recently, as i mentioned in this thread, i was having problems reading DVD-Rs on my ps2....

but as i just mentioned i just 2 DVD-RWs right now, and both seem to work in ace condition...

a few months ago, i was having problems with my old laser (now replaced), so i tried tweeking the DVD pots.....

cud this conquence be this ?? DVD-Rs: majority unreadable....DVD-RWs: readable....

    anyways, my ps2 is a PAL PS2 with a Messiah Chip, v5/6...

both DVD-RWs that I tested were burnt at 2x, and both had the same media code: RITEKW01, but were different companies: Maxell and Sony....

Hmm no, there is an additional connection to solder for -RW to work, so check your other connection (CD,DVD etc)
