MGS2 ripping

Can anyone here help on how to rip video and music files from Metal Gear Solid 2? It uses .DAT files, but I'm unsure as to how to get into them....help!

How come MGS2 hasn't been ripped yet?

And where and what is a DVD-R.

Sorry, I'm a newb to this Ripping stuff.

The reason why is not ripped because the release group try to rip it but have no success. The DVDR is the back up of the game on DVD and it cost around 6-10 dollar. But we can not show you where to buy it since it is against posting rule incase you ask.

and I though no-one had attempted to rip it because without the videos, it'd be a pointless game

That is too true. I justing guess there since most of the video you just can't rip since it is part of the game play it self.

What's the purpose of making a back-up on DVD anyway?

This is the term we like to use, We use back up so we don't damage the original game and leave it in mint condition.

we all know that is not true anyway atleast not for me
