    Trying to backup mercenaries with dvd decrypter selecting iso read then iso write using dvd-r datawrite 8x .failing to laod. All other games backed up with pinnicles instant copy. mod chip infinity v1.39 please help new to all this thanks

    Not sure about your mod chip but for this game to boot with Swap Magic it needs DVDRicks patch.

    The Infinity has no problem with Mercenaries. Any program that can do a 1:1 copy should do the trick.

    when i copied the disk and booted up all the load sreens came up untill the part with the statue in the city, the screen goes black but the music plays

    Not sure what the problem is. Are you using good media?
    I have an Infinity that does something similar (only PS1 games). It boots to a black screen, but the music plays. After about 30 seconds to a minute, the video finally pops up, then the game plays normal. It does this even with PS1 originals, but all PS2 games run fine. Anybody have any ideas?
