is this media good? Ritek 8x

ive done a search here and there seems to be many ppl recommending "G04".

apparently, these discs i bought are not the 4X ones. they are the 8X ones. DVD-R. are they any good??

GO5's in my opinion are hit or miss. Some people get a good batch while others (like me) got a bad batch.

what kind of problems are the "bad batch" causing. just coasters, bad burns, etc?

For me coasters and erattic burning speeds.

I've gone through about 400 G05 8x -R's, they're excellent for the most part, I've had maybe 5 or 6 bad burns.

I've also used a lot of ritek 8x dvd-r's (around 100+). No bad burns so far with a pioneer burner, but I burn them all at 4x. Previously I used G04's burnt at 1x. Never had a bad ritek disc, but then again, I'm using a quality burner and slow speeds.

Ritek is good for general use but when it comes to game, one should stick with 4x... I would get 8x for movies and data but 4x for games...
