Which media can the V7 play?

Hey guys,

I have a Sony DRU-500ULX DVD Writer ...
My PS2 is about to get chipped with a Messiah 2 v1.30 PRO
And i'm wondering which media can the V7 play

My PS2 is about 7 months and rarely touched it.

Post your media experiences on the V7!

Work or not, what burning speed, which media brand, etc...

I have used Ritek and Princo brand -r media on a V7 and they worked fine. I also used some cheap unbranded DVD-rs that I got from a local pc store and they also worked just fine. In my experience the V7 can play a wide variety of media. For CD-r I have mostly used memorex brand. i even used some of the colored ones that come in 5 different colors in one pack and they all read fine w/ no problems. I burned almost all my DVD-r games at 2x and the CD-r ones at 16x.

For dvd media get yourself some Ritek. They are cheap and top quality. The G03 can be burned at 1x or 2x with the right firmware. G04 are 4x. For cdr Verbatim work very well.

Dms3 2.0 on my V7. Plays DVD+rw and DVD+R burned at 4x fine. FFX Cgs play smoothly. Media type are: Maxell DVD+R/RW and TDK DVD+Rs.

i find that verbatim DVD-R are ****en good they even work on my friends laser and its quite old... no skipping in CGs either

ok, I only tried 1 media brand... and it works flawlessly

[b]DVD+R Memorex[\b](In Pack of 1 or 5) - burned at 2x with RecordNow Max
