Madden 2004 and DNAS Error

I downloaded a burned a copy of madden 2004, but when I try to play online it says DNAS error -402

This is my first time trying to play anything online, but I gather it can tell this is a burned copy...
So my question is what does DNAS Error -402 reffer to?

Does each game have a serial number and possibly others are playing online with the same serial number and will not let me play.
Could this be fixed if I copied a friends game?

Or is this unfixable because it is a copy?

Madden 2004 is one of the FEW online games that has DNAS protection, most games play flawlessly online.

but madden 2k4 does not, and there is currently NO workaround
