Is anyone here using a Mac to copy ps2 dvd's? I've heard that if you use Toast and just select "copy" they will work. Is it that simple? Sorry if this has been covered before, but I could not find any info on the sub and I'm very much a newbie at this whole thing. Thanks in advance for any input!

Toast 5.1.4 or better should do the trick for you. Image the game to your HD first and then burn it back on a good quality 2x certified blank like TDK, Verbatim, Apple, Pioneer, or Maxell.

You gotta create an image of the cd or dvd first... Insert the original media and under the tabs, select Copy... Then hit Ctrl-D, and choose the location of the destination file and that's it.. the image will be created...

When you're ready to burn it, just select other and hold the button till the menu drops down.. then select disc image from there.. drag/drop your image (I personally make the images on my desktop that way it's easier to drag/drop) onto the toast window and you're ready to burn...

Works wonderfully but if you dont want to make multiple copies you can just stick in a disk and the computer and select copy and click record and it only makes a temp image and you dont have to erase it when you are done

Imaging to the desktop is good for making additional copies at a later date but otherwise unecessary

Ok need help.. I'm trying to run We6 fe (a jap soccer game) on my ps2.. but I think I had a bad burn...

I got the game in .bin format from a friend.. used Bitchunker to make it a .iso... then in Toast Ti 5.2 I went to other, disc image.. and then dragged the iso on it... it then said someting like "Toats couldnt detect "bitchunk01.iso" file format. Click Continue if you think it is a valid disc image."
I did and then burnt it....

So now using gameshark2 I'm trying to use thhe knife swap trick, but when i go to load the cd-r i burn it just starts spinning and somewhat loud and never laods anything.. just spins and I cant back out...

Is it the burn? Is it the cd type (memorex) or is it th eversion of gameshark??
    thanks

If you select disk image you can burn .bin files in toast under the disk image option you dont need the cue
