Lego Star Wars Problems (Not HDD)
Lego Star Wars Problems (Not HDD) –
I found some threads concerning booting Lego Star Wars but they seem related to HDD. I have an older PS2 (v 5 or 6, forget which) and a ***3 v2.0 chip which works great (Thanks, Loy).
I burned the bin to a Memorex CD (a brand I have had no problems with before) and when I try to boot it I get a nasty sound from the box. Sounds like the laser is trying to lock on to something but having no luck. I've since loaded PSX (CD) and PS2 (CD/DVD) games with no problem, seems isolated to this game.
Here's the two things that really get me:
1) The same disk works in a buddy's PS2, modded w the same chip.
2) An *original* Lego Star Wars game in my PS2 works the same as the backup - not at all, but w a lot of noise.
In one of the HDD threads was a suggestion of putting the CD image on a DVD. I tried it, doesn't boot. No nasty noises, and going into Browser mode shoes the disk as a PS2 disk, but selecting it does nothing.
Anyone have any luck with this game? Suggestions?
PS - Why is does the brand name of my mod chip get replaced with ***?
Your modchip is censored on this forum, thats why.
I have an unmodded V7 PAL PS2 and for Lego Star Wars backup to boot I have to use CD Loader but with yout chip you shouldnt need that. Mine works fine.
