lba big file help –
08-03-2003,10:31 AM
hi guys
i need directions...
i have stuntman ntsc and i am trying to understand
how to find the lba table and how to extract the stuntman.img
i dont want to use an extractor from another creator i am doing this
cause i ned to learn how to make an extractor/rebuilder for games general.
ok i used sonix filescan 3 and i found that the first file is a .tsd and it is offset at 00007000
then i $ony reversed it and i think i found the lba table its at 00700000 if i am right(could anyone confirm this?), i am trying to use the spy tool but with no luck
can anyone help me please, i need details what are the fill in boxes
of spy and what do i have to fill in there, it says first fill the five address in hex not $ony reverse, which addresses? and after it found the lba table who can i use the platinum tool builder?i know it has instructions but are not very clear to me, always i have an error like but file name or number.
now more questions about platinum tool builder...
1)what are the file's name going to be box: names? i dont understand this at all could you please explain this to me better? if the bigfile has for example act1.tsd fire.tsd what am i supposed to fill in the name box?i dont understand
2)about the file extension box: a big file has many different kind of files in it right?so i have to fill in the box for example stuntmant files .tsd .xav .bm6 all of them with space
or i need to run the program one time for .tsd then again without the .tsd but with .xav instead etc?
3)directory?: for example c:\ext\ ?is that right?
4)what hex offset is the first file in the fat table at:it means the start of the lba table? in this case 0070000?
5)what hex offset is the first file at:does it mean the offset of the first real file? for example i used filescan 3 and the first file is offset 00007000 a .tsd ???????
6)how many bytes are there between each file in the fat table: how can i find that?
these are my questions please if you are familiar answer....
Thanks in advance...
