    Is it possible to plug my crossover cable into my network adapter and into my PC to connect through host to send my iso backups to the ps2's hdd? I try, but messages display 'LAN network cable unplugged'.

    Yes you can put iso's on your ps2 with a crossover cable,i've done it a few times.Check out SKSAPPS.COM,thats where i learned to do it,there very helpful too.Here's a good guide that ubergeek put together,worked for me.
