Infinity Matrix wont load ps2 games.

Hello all, I just got my console modded with a Matrix Infinity Chip, It has the 1.45 bios on it but It wont boot any ps2 games. Boots ps1 games just fine. I am Using dvd-r media on my games. My owned copy of God of war wont make it past the opening Sony Computer Entertainment screen. Please help

Ok now I got it to load but whenever it plays the movies they are very choppy. I still cannot play any of my backups. Do I need to use dvd+r's? Please Help

Maybe the laser has come to its end? I had the same problem with my first bought PS2(used with no modchip). It wouldn't boot any DVD discs. I took it back and got another one which actually worked

I have exactly the same problems with my Infinity...got the chip installed last November and it worked great with all my originals and back ups as well as any DVD movies, but lately all the newest games I have backed up will not run...just black screen. I re-flashed the BIOS to 1.45 as well, but this don't seem to accomplish anything. Anybody who has any ideas on this problem, I would love some input.
