ICE AGE 2 MELTDOWN problem

I have got three different backups of ICE AGE 2 now, and rented the Original GAME OUT, And none of them work on my PS2. my PS2 has a matrix modchip installed, this is the first ever game that hasnt worked even the original. can anyone offer any advice?

what do you mean by it doesn't work? does it not go into the game, does your ps2 read other original games? try cleaning your lens with alcohol and q-tip
