I need help...big time. –
I was wondering if someone could give me some advice. I have a V7 PS2 with a DMS3 modchip installed. I can play my DVD and PS1 backups great as well as PS2 CDRs. My problem lies in my PS2 DVD-R backups. I have tried four different medias and various burning programs. Any suggestions? I am open to ALL advice. Thanks in advance
what happens? do you get an error while burning? what progs have you used? what brand dvd-rs are you using? are you getting a red-screen?
What version firmware does your DMS3 have? There were some odd bugs in earlier versions. Try this...
1. Start with your PS2 in standby mode.
2. Press EJECT.
3. Insert PS2 DVD backup.
4. Press EJECT. The game should load.
My problem –
I have used Sony, Maxell, and Verbatim media. After I put in the PS2 DVD and start the PS2, I get the red screen with the "please insert a playstation disc" message. It will play everything else except for PS2. So, I am stumped. I will also try what was suggested with the "reset" button. Thanks for the help.

Ok, I tried the "reset" method but it still did not work. What I get is this. I can put in the PS2 DVD backup, and when I go to the "browser" it actually says "playstaion 2 disc", but when i click on it, it goes to black screen then pops up the "please insert playstation disc" message. any suggestions now?
Thanks in advance
did you install the chip yourself?
