I have PURCHASED the 106D :D ~~questions already! :)

Just finished installing my new Pioneer 106D :D It is looking great hahaha :D
Now, just two quick questions for y'all... if you don't mind ;)
1) The firmware stuff, should I install the official one? (I think it's version 1.07 or something) or should I go directly for the firmware hack (im not too sure what they do..)
If I install the official one now, and then want to install a hacked one.. will I be able to?
2) The guy gave me a spindle of 50 "Ritek" DVD-R's 4x, are they any good in general? For movies? For PS2 Games?

The firmware hack allows you to rip DVD's at a faster rate using your 106. It also allows for region free movie playback on your drive. If you have another DVD Rom which you will be using for DVD Playback and/or ripping, don't bother installing the hacked firmware, stick to the original.

Ritek's are an excellent brand of DVD-R. They work especially well for PS2 and/or movies.
