    Hi

I recently got a new PC and now I can't burn any PS2 backups. I have a Plextor 40/12/40A CD writer. I burn the games at 16x just like I did on my old CD Burner (TDK Cyclone 16/10/32)
I am using CDR-WIN 2.9B. I have also tried nero 5.5.9.17 (the newest version anyway)

Now, the games that are small, like say Zapper (57min) by KALISTO don't work. The PS2 cannot recognize the CD. But large games such as FIFA which is 79min work fine. What do you think is wrong? Also in nero I can't find an option to burn disc-at-once. I am burning from the original .bin .cue which I have unrared.

Anyone have any sugestions? How do others burn games and with what settings?

    Thanks

Try cutting back to 4x as that seems to be the sweet spot for the PS2 laser.

Now, you described the PC side, but what about the PS2 side of this equation? What modchip and boot method are you using?

Also, unless you actually bought it, you may have a bad key for CDRWin which has been caught by the internal checking code and will produce discs that appear to have burned and completed normally, but actually are coasters (Jeffie's punishment ...)

Uninstall and clean the registry of any referrences to CDRWin and Goldenhawk. Download the 1x trial and try the image again at 1x to confirm. Otherwise, locate a copy of Fireburner which also handles bin/cue easily.
