yes use IMGBURN To make an ISO from your Original Games .and then install them to hdd .

gnie's multi tool can help you out with that. will not work on all. and then in my opinion, you lose out on game content which takes away from the experience. thus making the game worthless.

First you said that you would like to 'rip' the games for use on your HDD.
This can be done using ImgBurn as amp has stated. This is all done without the use of disks.
But you will need the cables to do the transferring from pc
to HDD.

This time you said what you're trying to do is make 'back up' copies of your games....? Little lost here. If you have the HDD to use, why the disks?

Are you meaning that you're trying to make a disk that holds all your games for later use?

I think he's asking one of those:
1.Remove/downsample something from the game(for example movies)and make the ISO smaller.
2.Compress the ISO(like with Winrar or isz(compressed ISO))and in that game to install more games
3.Make the ISO smaller(some games have false fba)

yeah, he want to downsample the movies and shrink the iso's so hecan fit more on his hdd.

but i agree with ninja, u will lose out on game content which takes away from the experience.

and u can easily buy a second-hand hdd of like say, 120 GB for a few bucks.

Sorry for reviving such an old thread, but I didn't want to make a new one after all.

The question here hasn't been really answered and I'd like to get such an answer... possibly not using gnie's xpert3 ...cause 30$ is a bit much to just downsample videos.

Oh, right. The main issue:
I want to downsample movies from my games to make them play smoothly from an usb hdd. My dvd drive got busted so I can't burn any more games, but I still have some ISO's I put long time ago ; )

So... the main question. How can I downsample videos from my games? I'm mostly interested in downsampling ffx and ffx-2. Tho downsampling both GoW 1 and 2 would be great as well.

I was supposed to write sthing more but I forgot... oh well. Thanks in advance for any answers, tho I'd be rly grateful for some real help ; )

I do that allmost daily, to instal games on hdd or usb drives.

Just use USBUTIL, check the options and try it, you can automatically rip an iso, desable videos, and manually do that and much more.
You can patch DNAs to fix some problems(ex:COD2,COD3) that result in black screen.

Last i did today: TOY STORY 3 (PS2), youll end up with a 300MB ISO!!!and the game isnt afected anyway, you have it all, just removed the crap files.

And i have hundreds of games like this one, im a PS2 games collector and I HAVE hundreds of originals from all around the world. Anyway i like to play them from my HDLOADER.Its that wrong???

i have a question, i need to extract a ps2 iso so i can put the files thru ftp on ps3 and play ps2 backups on mine ps3 BC cfw 3.55 kmeaw, is there any free program i can use for this ?
