    Hi,

I got a ps2 dvd, i extracted it and made an ISO (GTA:VC)

Ik u look at the GTA:VC disc within explorer u`ll notice that there is a file named: Handling.cfg in the data directory.
if u open it up (in wordpad for example)......u`ll find the handling of all vehicles is listed here (like enginespeed, engine acceleration etc.)

So u could change those specs to make vehicles move faster, make them stronger or even change the gearbox (3,4 or 5 speed)! This is really cool! I did the same thing on GTA3 for the PC and i got some really cool effects.

    Only i got one question,

"How can i rebuild that image (after changing the handling.cfg) to make it work on the ps2?

If someone could clear this up for me......that would be the coolest...Imagine vehicles that go well over 150 miles an hour....

    Greetz

    Hey, what's up?

Anyway, try cdgenps2.exe, I think it does exactly what you need to do.

Yeah have you got anything to work yet? Pretty interesting stuff, one thing I noticed was the top speed range (it says something like 5-150 range) but some cars like infernus are higher than 150 if I read the charts right, also the number of gears look like they affect the acceleration along with weight of cars, like with the helicopters have 1 gear very slow, imagine changing the specs to that of the infernus or cycle......fast ....gonna try doing something myself later after get some more discs (out once again) Any of you smart programers out there lets get some info & help here....please

i tested that out with Grand Theft Auto 3, the cdrip version, i edited the handling.cfg, and i also changed some of the radio stations, it worked for a while, but i must have done something wrong because the game kept crashing, i didnt feel like messing with it anymore so i went back to the normal version. I just followed a guide to ripping your own ps2 games.
