Get a dual layer burner?
Like NEC-2510A or 3500 that retails for less than $100 most places.
8X or 16x +/- burner

You have two choices:
- Dual layer burner/disk
- Rip the original to two DVD-Rs
regards, Stephen
you cannot rip the original to two discs succesfully
you will take you 3 discs
or you can downlaods the Kalisto dvd5rip or if you can rip it yourself....
if you go the dual layer burner way were can you get a burner for under $100. and the black disk range from $12-$25.
by the way how come a dual-layer disc has less MB than 2 single layer dvd(-r)s
single layer = 4488 MB
dual layer = 8152 MB
but 4488 x 2 = 8976
???~
As the second layer has less reflectivity, the pits and lands are larger for better readability. As those are larger the storage space is smaller.

k thx for clearing this up
so in fact it is even "harder" for the ps2 lens to read the second layer of a backup?
yes. That is why I have very big doubts about written dual layer disks in consoles with such a crap laser as Sony.

Anyone tested RitekD01 or Verbatim DVD+R DL Dual Layer discs in PS2 and XBOX?
