HK Silver or DVDR?

Which one is the better choice, the HK Silver like PLayers2 and Dvdr2 or the DVDr burned in home (using this medias Pionner, TDK, Samsung)?
Could I use my cd cleaner (use for music cd) to clean the PS2 DVDs?

depends on what you want. what do you mean by better? if you want the ability to backup your games then you should use dvdr. if you just want to get copies from HK, get the silvers. whichever's easiest for your.

btter in quality... i don't know if the HK Silver will screw up my laser unit... sometimes bad media forced the laser unit... I don't know if the HK silver do that...

HK silvers are pressed media....it's almost as good for your laser as an original

Some people have problems playing hk silvers. It is best to just burn your own copy if possible.

HK silvers run very well on my PS2 V7, it works just as well as the orginal.

the best way to test a HK silver would be to try imaging it in your PC and see just how long it takes compared to a DVDr copy of the same game, in most cases you will find the HK silver will read far faster than a DVDr, but the vast majority of HK silvers i have ever seen fail to image and get errors arround 75%. I dont know if i was getting some sub standard Silvers or this is just normal for the cheaply produced disks

If you can find a high quality supplier of silvers then go for them over dvdr everytime

test your HK silvers with DVDSpeed on your computer for example, and you will see thar near the end you have errors and your DVD reader needs to slow down ( and sometimes failed :( ).

HK silver are nearer to original DVD than dvdr, but they're made cheaply.

you have the same results with dvdr: if it slow down too much, the brand of your dvdr aren't very good...
