well first of al... hi.. im new around here (1 day old)

and i just bought a dvd burner (pioneer aA05) and i burned jak 2 full dvd on the pioneer dvd-r tha came with my urner..... but the game freezes everytime i get a cutscene... or a video... or loading smoething.... i get these random freezes.... but the weird thing is... the game hasnt froze completly.. coz i can sill press start.... lol...

and after a few secs of it froze... the lasr startrs making sounds...

ive been reading topics simlar.... and i read about trying other brands.... and somethig about firware... what is fireware if anyone can tell me in afew words :P....

my ps2 is a v7 with a messiah 2


my ps2.. reads cd-rs PERFECT.... but this dvd-r didnt work ((..... i bought a few ritek g04 and i should get tomorrow... so ill test jak 2 again with a ritek... to check out if it was dvd-r....
but if it isnt dvd.... what can i do?

oh yeah....

and i burned 2x using primoDVD 2.0 with the px engine instaled

Could be the media or the laser. Try the Ritek then report back.

Yep. But wait until you try a different media before you go screwing with your laser.
