Help withTekken Tag tournament on Usb –
06-23-2010,07:21 PM
Hi all,
I have D/loaded Tekken tag iso as mine was freezing so was not sure if it would be ok to use.
I have tried to put the image using ul_format and ul_install ( the gui version of USBExtreme does not recognise the 2gb usb )onto my usb drive but its not loading when I try to load it with openps2loader which I have installed in the MC.
Please advise what I am doing wrong as I have read many threads and they seem to be confusing me as some say format to FAT32 and some say NTFS.
The T/Tag image is 601mb so its basically cd image ,would that make a differance ?

I'm sure he meant he redownloaded the same game he had original , fearing he didnt't rip it right .
Anyway , Tekken Tag SCES 50001 is not working in OPL 0.7 in USB , it freezes on white

Yes, he is banned.
But the question is if he should be, or not ?
And also how long that should last ?
Perm-banning for the kind of stuff he said in his post seems very exaggerated
He has been in contact with me elsewhere and has explained that he does have an original disc of that game but in pretty bad condition, so when he finally managed to rip an ISO file from it, and that ISO file did not work as it should he concluded that his ripping had failed and then tried an ISO obtained by downloading.
Now, regardless of such circumstances it is of course our policy not to aid people in using downloaded ISOs, but it is also our policy to help all those who want to make legitimate backups, which is what this guy really wanted to do though his first attempt to do so had failed, like he mentioned in his post. (Where he said that he tried the downloaded ISO only because his own was freezing.)
At this point what we should have done is neither to ban him nor to help him with that downloaded ISO, but instead explain to him how best to proceed in obtaining a valid backup ISO from the original he had, while also explaining to him why this is how he has to do it.
I have seen many other users here commit much more serious offenses in their posts and still get off with just a warning, and I see no particular reason why this guy should be selected for harsher treatment, given the relatively inoffensive nature of his post.
Of course, if he really is an active pirate then he will be kicked out again as that will sooner or later be revealed (they always expose themselves somehow), but for the present we do not have sufficient reason to say that he is one, so I think his ban should be lifted.
He has already been cut off for over a week, and that should be sufficient as a first-warning ban even for cases worse than this one.
NB:
I'm not trying to raise any debate about this between us moderators. So I'm not going to argue about it any further in any case. I'm making this post only to add some info on aspects of this situation that seem to have been missed, so that a superior admin can take a decision as to whether or not there is reason to lift that ban.
Best regards: dlanor
