help with burning images.. making backups.

hey there all..
I have an weird prob..
ok this is what i have..

***3 V2 chip with flashed 2.3

Now when i get my chip 2 weeks ago.. everything was working great.. i was able to burn ps2 images that i dl'd .. and they worked fine in my ps2..
now this week.. for some strange reason.. i wanted to make a copy of a backup game that was already burned.. using nero... i make a dvd copy of the disc.. that was fine.. then i tried it in my ps2 and it didnt read...
but my other backup as well as the rest of my gmaes i burned work fine..

i even made an iso using winiso and tried to burn the image using nero.. and still my ps2 wont read my games ...??

also.. i burned mgs3 iso image last week.. and it worked fine in my ps2.. then this week i burned that same image again and tried it in my system.. and it didnt work.. is it a nero prob??.. or computer prob??....

any ideas??. im using the same media as b4 too..

i have the latest ver of nero 6.6.1

There are several factors that can cause this:

- reading hw
- media
- system
- writting sw/hw

Winimage and other mystic things are totally wasted time, WHY don't you use the free DVDDecrypter ??? Nero has its own bugs, so do not expect that much of it (ok guys I know you're working on several solutions but you also make a lot of bugs again, yeah...) Anyway, same media. Is that from the same batch ? Check the dye, using DVDInfoPro or DVDIdentifier, to make sure the dyes of those two are the same. And, let's not forget you did not say what version of PS2 you have. V9, V10 with romeo mod can become unreliable in reading after some time. All in all, more info needed to short your problem. Also you should try other media, usually use QUALITY one, and as said, FORGET Nero forever, if you do not want to ask too many questions here and there.

as for media.. i tried memorex twice.. same image.. one was fine.. the second burn from the same stack of memorex didnt work..

I also have the cheapy dvd-rs too
those were the ones i used in the beginning with no probs..

I did try out dvd decrypter ... used it for one image that didnt work when using nero..
it worked..
but i tried a different image.. and it burned fine but couldnt read..

I think im going to stick with ridata brand dvds alot of ppl incl me have success.. but who knows..

Memorex if it is the plus (DVD+R) version is one of the best disks you can get. I suggest to check the disks with a PI/PO scanner to see how many errors are on them. I also suggest to check your writer then. What kind of burner do you use ?

what program did u use to do the pi/po test ?

Unacceptable result. All PI over 280 mena just a BAD disk.... Good media means 10000-100000 PI total, and 60 MAX, excellent result is about 10000 total and 20 MAX.

Scanned with KProbe or Plextools. DVDInfoPro is not a realiable scanner.

i just picked up a 50pk of ridata dvd-r 8X

ohh baby!! these are the ones for me..
just burned 3 ps2 games and they all work perfect :):)
