i have a speedzter 5 dvd/cdr burner. my question is does anyone know what type of burner it is, i mean from the sites i look under the speedzter 5 is just the name of the burner case its an external and i can switch the type of burner if i want. s hat knd f bn d i have anyone know?

goto control panel, system, (hardware, i think but i cant check, im burning a dvd) device manager, and cd/dvd roms.

Also your DVD burning software should say what it is, when your using it.

hey thanks it says its a: nec cd 2800d i guess its a generic version dvd burner.
