Having trouble backing up my retail copy of Ratchet & Clank Up your arsenal

I have tried both DVD-R and DVD+R media and I use freemcboot 1.8 with ESR .24a. Once I choose launch DVD in ESR it just goes to black screen...tried in 30001 70001 and 77001 (Along those lines can't remember exact model numbers)

What am I doing wrong?

I believe to remember, that this game was incompatible to ESR.

Anyone else have any ideas like some other types of patches?

I have never got it to work, and at first I thought I had burned it improperly. So copied and burned it twice to no avail. If you google it, people have it listed as being ESR compatabile on a v12 PS2. Of course, I have a v7 so I could not confirm the validity of that claim. Maybe we will get an updated ESR that gitaroo and r&c3 can work on?

Did you tried the "ESR-GUI Test 2" with different settings?
I´m not sure if it is totally incompatible, or if it is compatible with some settings defined in there.
