Do you mean 20 Megabytes (20MB) or 20 Megabits (20Mb)? This is a huge difference as 802.11b is 11Mb, 802.11g is 54Mb, and 802.11n is 300Mb.

Haha I had to go squeeze my head underneath the computer system upstairs BUT...

It's a Linksys Wireless-G 2.4GHz and 54Mbps

So I need to get a hold of a network adaptor and then hardwire my PS2 to the router? Hmmm. That sounds much more expensive then using DVD's. The router is upstairs underneath the computer system in the kitchen and all my stuff is conveniently located downstairs in the dungeon. I'll look into a game router like you mentioned before though.

Will a gaming router be fast enough though?

Yeah. to use either an internal hard drive or network gaming, you need to have it. It's also a great investment for your ps2 because using either one of the game loading methods can save you from buying discs all the time.

a couple things to keep in mind:
1. the network adapter is still required using the wireless gaming adapter/wireless bridge
2. The speed will not be the same as if it's wired since data packets can be dropped more easily due to environmental such as walls and angle of the singnal passing through walls. Also, gaming adapters are not cheap. average of $50 - $100 per adapter.

Yea it doesn't seem worth it. I just bought a bunch of DVD's for cheap and I have no other use for the PS2 network adapter or the router other than for this. I still wish I could figure out where I went wrong. I'm thinking it's with the sectors but I have no idea how to set them up and FFGriever's guide helps a lot but he never listed what programs to use since both Nero and IMGburn mess with the sector positions upon burning. =/
