ok guys, i know there is already a few forums dedicated to GT4 and its issues when burning it to dvd-dl media, but just a thourght, would it be advisable or better to use toxic's patch as well as the patches that toolboy released a while back (only the slus and the gore.gt4 patches, not the other one) do you think this would give better results?

better than burning a coaster, or a copy that freezes.

well from my past experince i have tried both patches, they seem to work OK, but from my point of view i will be using the toxic patch that they released and if you have a bad dvd-dl disk then it dosent really matter which method u use, it will still hassle you, so make sure you get a good disk, i personaly use the traxdata DVD+R dl disk which worked fine.

well toxics patch works perfectly as long as the burn goes ok. like kcc said, use good media, and use dvd decrypter, make sure the book type is set to DVD-ROM, and that's it.
as far as i'm aware there are no 'issues' with burning GT4 to a dual layer disk. there are only issues with individuals pcs, either because they have a setting wrong, some kind of glitch, or simply because DL burning is in its infancy. the game and patch itself are fine.

as for using toolboys patches for a DL copy - that won't work at all as they are for running the game from hard drive, ie they flatten the image. if you did that and burned it to disk, all files would have to be on the same layer and they just won't fit
