I've got Sly Cooper on dvd image .gi, but somehow PrimoDVD keeps on reporting errors when I try to burn it. Does it really make a difference if I use RecordNowMAX? I've got the latest PXEngine update anyway.

Both progs should work. If you are using RNM get 4.50, it is the most stable. Which prog did you use to create it? Make sure your burner is set as master as well.
My Pioneer 105 has and will always be set on Master. I've been using PrimoDVD for the last year and this is the first problem I've had with an image. Not sure what prog was used to create the image, got it off (censored).
Then do GI>ISO and use Nero to burn it.
Simple.
Or use DVDDecryptor.
Don't convert GI's to ISO... it doesn't work perfectly on multi GI files.
The problem is that if you have multi GI files, one of them (which is the smallest) is a description file. This is the problem with Primo DVD. As this description file describes where the parts of the image can be found on the hard disk. As this is a fixed path, you must have the images there. Otherwise Primo DVD will give you an error. Recordnow Max can handle this problem, as it seeks for the files in the same directory where this description file is. So you have THREE choices:
1st, it's the easier one: Use RecordNow Max.
2nd, you have to examine the description file, and copy it + the other files to the directory where the description points to
3rd, you have to edit the description file manually and enter the correct paths by hand... I don't advise this, as you have to use a hex editor and the description file can easily be damaged. If that happens, your chance to write the image correctly is gone.
I was planning to write a small asm routine to do the conversion, but realised that Recordnow can be used without problem and my new drive is not supported by PrimoDVD, so changed to Recordnow Max and no more problem.

The GI file was corrupted. I got fed-up and deleted the image yesterday. But thank anyway, I'll move over to RecordNow Max soon.
why would that matter at all?Originally posted by bighap

How can it matter? The one's and zero's are still being put on the DVD.Originally posted by ftothe3
why would that matter at all?![]()
BTW, DVDdecryptor works fine for me.![]()
Simply by rote; I've heard some people report problems when their drives were set on slave. Particularly with a Pioneer 104. Even the Pioneer web site advise on it.
