.gi formats - RecordNow Max

I have a question about the .gi format... I would like to back-up images of my DVD games, but i dont know what program to do it in.. I was looking through RecordNow Max and I found a Global Image format.. Is this is essentially the same as .iso and .bin/.cue??

You can use RNM to backup your DVD's through its Global Image Creator...

How do you create a .gi from a iso or cue and bin file and can you change mode/raw 2x ect...?
