Generating own DVD disc

I finally made that booting dvd, and MediaPlayer shows up.
But I have the same error as Lottsie:

Open File & Index...
Error -1

I don't think the problemi is on the dvd, but I think the MediaPlayer opens the avi files with a call that need a cd, not a dvd. That -1 error remembers me some return codes by AmigaOS that happened A LOT of years ago when i used to code something with my beloved A3000
Maybe I'm wrong, but the player starts and I can surf the cd directory, only file opening fails...
I hope it'll be changed with incoming new release, I have Magic3 and I can't swap the cd with player with a dvd with avis.
I hope that the forthcoming "eject disk" feature will allow me to do it, my japanese anime series really are waiting to fill my dvds

So gathering from what ive read, is it NOT possible to play .avi files on a DVDR with mediaplayer because it keeps showing the 'Error-1' ??

I tried following a guide which involved using cd/dvd gen, and draging cdvd.irx, system.cnf and mediaplayer.elf followed by the .avi's which is where i got lost coz i found the first two files cept mediaplayer.elf and the only one that was similiar was 'ps2media.elf' which i gave up on coz i didnt wanna waste another dvd (all these files got from PS2Reality Mediaplayer 1.50 folder, unless the one mentioned above was from a different version)

So If anyone has managed to get it to work, pls post a step by step guide! ive got tons of anime and need to offload them onto DVD so i can watch using ps2 aswell as PC.

I don't think it's possible to put CDbase games into DVDr....What's possible is putting DVDrip games back into DVDr...I know that for sure because I was able to put INitial-D on CDr back into DVDr with some tools....you can't just burn it, ya have to put the DVD-check thingy back on the DVDgame....
