Finding the right DVD burner

I have a V5 PS2 with a DMS3 v2 installed. I was thinking of buying the

"Verbatim Internal DVD+RW/CD-RW Drive

Here is a quote from best buys website

The reason I want to get this one is because
1: it looks like the better out of the two that my local "Best Buy'' caries
2: my buddy can get me it at 50% off the price because he works there.

Will this burner work?

If it won?t work will the PIONEER "DVR-A05" work?
I know nothing about this.
So please somebody enlighten me

IMO its the best for the money. Great for backing up PS2, XBOX, and movies.

Or if you pockets are deep, you can get the Sony dual format drive. That does both formats, but I don't understand why someone would want to do +R as the media is more expensive when comparing to -R media.
