u cant do it !!!
Heh you got my hopes up. Course I realised there still isn't any way to play PSone backups without a modchip or buying a disc is there? I'd like to play FF7 again, if there was a free elf that could boot it. Guess I'll just buy it 2nd hand on ebay or something.
some crazy project..but all the best

copy all the data onto your hdd
dl multiloader and configure it properly to redirect to the correct elf files
you can put all disc into a separate folder or create one folder for 1 game (to save space since some videos/data archives are used mutliples times)
and hope fully that will work lol -_-
but it would become a bit probelmatic when you have to switch discs (you will have to save when prompted and then reset your console and then continue)
(I never tested this with ps1 games but it does work with multiple ps2 eyetoy games)
report if that worked
did anyone find out something?
I would do that myself if I had some spare time to find all my ff cds ^^
when the final fantasy's ask for a disc switch before they do it it should save so turn off your ps2 and load the next cd and load the game but are dvd's big enough for this ff8 was 4 cd's and ff7 was like 3
yeah...
The maximum on a ps1 disc can be 650 MN, so lets take the maximum for each disc
FF8 = 4x650 = 2600
FF7 = 3x650 = 1950
-------------------
Total = 4550 Mb
and since I m sure not all discs are full up to 650 MB it should fit on one single DVD
Hmm i wonder why darkchildx got banned.

I think that is why he has been banned!
