I apologize if these have been asked before but:

    1) What is the recommended speed to burn cd's at for ps2?

    2) I have some 40X 700mb maxell cdr's, would these be fine for the ps2?

    Thanks in advance.

I get booting problems when i burn over x20, and yea those disks are fine, you should be able to overburn for 800mb games.

Some burners wil generate a "roller coaster" effect in the boot secotrs if burned over 8X. This is because the drive hasn't had time to fully spin up yet, and the burn is not done at a constant rate. Typically only applies to older drives. If you have trouble at a higher speed, drop it to 4 or 8X.

If it ain't broke don't try to fix it! But, hell if you can tweak that bastard just a little bit more....hehehe.
