ESR Problem

Hello all, i am having a problem with esr, with one game in particular. All the games that I have patched and burned work flawlessly, but one game that is one of my favorite ps2 games freezes at the "Reading memory card (PS2)" screen. The game is called Dark Cloud 2. It gets past the "Sony Entertainment" screen but like i said before, it freezes when its reading the memory card. If anyone can help solve this problem, it would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Piracy? When in the post did i mention anything about piracy? Never did i say i downloaded anything. Maybe if i just make it a little clearer. The games that i have made backups form the original game that i own work flawlessly, but one game in particular that i backed up, patched, and burned doesnt get past the "Reading memory card (PS2)" that game is called Dark Cloud 2, this is one of my favorite ps2 games and if anything were to happen with my original copy i would use my legit backup.

He's merely asking about backing up his originals.

I guess Dark Cloud 2 is incompatible to ESR.
Maybe there are other personss which tested this game.

You might try to use the ESR-GUI and it's 'compatibility-modes', or an older ESR-Version.

'ESR-GUI', the ESR-Version with a User-Interface has three start-options (CDVD, App and back to OSDSYS without invoking ESR) and three compatibility-modes.

...and under these start-options are compatibility-modes...

-disable ESR after first IOP-Reset
-use synchronous mode
-spoof media-type
