Dvd9... ?

HI!
I just had my DVD-r and i was wondering.. how exactly the rip of DVD9 game are made?.. I read a tutorial about getting the both layers of data out of a dvd9 and modifying the link file.. that's fine but now what the hell i do with all this data.. I tryed to find some tutorial about downsampling video or whatever technic could be use to rip it.. Does anyone know a page or got a tutorial about this?
