I just ordered a pre mod ps2 with the dms3 chip from modchipman. when backing up my copy of socom 2 using primo, can i just do a straight disc to disc copy, or do i have use the method of creating a .GI file. Also im using DVD-RW media, will this media work on my modded ps2?

    thanx

DVD-RW may or may not work depending on what version your PS2 is and what brand the DVD-RW is. And you will have to create a .gi/iso file in order to back up your games, this has been covered many many times.

You can use the exact copy option as well. It is just a good idea to make an image, as your chances of a bad burn are reduced.

You should be able to play all types of media on your v7.

I agree with all the responses. I have well over 50 backups and the only reliable way to do it is to save to your harddrive as a .gi file then burn to disc. An exact disc copy with any media(+r,-r) has been absolutely hit or miss for me.
