    a dvd+r drive can read dvd-r disks, but not record them, as far as i know.

    Will DVD+r's work if the mod chip only says DVD-r's?

    It's not up to the modchip, it depends on your PS2. Some of the newer PS2's will read + and -. Older ones will only read - .

    Should be able to read them.. Mine's a V7 and i use +R's..

    My v7 reads DVD-RWs just fine, no difference between RW and R.

    i have a V3 ps2 gh-007 its read dvd-r & dvd+r with no probs, aslong as you use good media not crap like princo....

    I use Verbatim RW and Princo R. Princo works fine (until now).
