DVD+R on Ps2 V2 usa?

Try to burn a movie on some ritek +R and see if it plays all the way through without skipping. If the unit picks it up ok and doesn't have any problems it should work. I have had better luck with +Rs but I won't mod anything less than a v4. Once the v9 appear in the US may only do v5 and above. The reason is that people will try to use cheap media and blame the mod if there laser craps out.

Even if a dvd movie on +r works, that doesn't mean a dvd game will. I have heard of this several times. It is kind of like how you might be able to get away cheap ass dvd media for dvd movies, but for dvd games they won't cut it.

I have a V3 that will only play DVD+r and no DVD-r. Strange. And this is after installing a new Sony laser. Not sure what type of movie backups it will play as it will not play original movies either.
